Manifesting a New Job

Who doesn’t appreciate the notion of asking the universe for what they wanted and having it granted?

Especially when it comes to something as crucial as manifesting a new job.

Anyone who is in the job market knows the job search process is daunting. They’ve submitted hundreds of applications, and half as many cold emails to hear nothing back.

If you have found yourself here you are willing to try anything to make the process as painless as possible.

So the question is how do I Manifest a new job? And if you are already trying “What in the world am I doing wrong!”

If you know nothing about manifesting Vox explains it very well. Keep reading to learn the 5 mistakes holding you back from manifesting a new job.

Mistake 1: You don’t have Clarity

When it comes to manifesting a new job you have to be clear about what you want. Sometimes we get desperate and the vision can get blurry.

As a new grad your goal might be to secure that first job. or you're experienced in your career journey you might be realizing your current job is not the right fit.

Whatever your motivation in the job search is, you have got to be clear when figuring out what that new job will be.

Think about it. If you KNEW you wanted to go on a week long trip somewhere topical you just needed to save for it.

Are you going to be working on a budget fit for a road trip 2 hours away? Of course not! It would take a lot more planning and money. Same when it comes to manifesting that new job. Ask yourself the following questions:

What hours are you willing to work? What does the benefit package look like, does that matter to you? What kind of leadership style do you want to work in? Do you care to have the holidays off? What’s the salary you are willing to take? Have you considered any of these factors when thinking about that new job?

These and so many other things are so important to think about when manifesting a new job. Because the role you THINK you want might not fit the mold of what you are asking for.

Manifesting requires a level of visualization. Answer those questions to gain some clarity.

Mistake 2: You are being unrealistic

In a perfect world the idea that “if you can dream it you can be it” there would be A LOT more princesses in the world. But we live in the real world and achieving our wildest dreams is not that simple. Manifesting with unrealistic goals is the same.

The Perfect Job: Fact or Fiction?

Is there a dream job out there that offers a seven-figure salary, only requires you to work three days a week, four hours a day max, comprehensive health insurance for you and your fur baby, remote work, and a company card? It's hard to say, but one can always hope!

Realistically those aren't the opportunities that are available in the job market. When you are thinking about the job you want, keep your expectations realistic.

There are well paying jobs out there for you, with great benefits. Yet, do not expect full time pay for part time work. If short work days/weeks are what you are looking for, understand you may sacrifice some benefits, like a high salary or benefits package.

We all have limitations, be aware and take them into consideration.

Mistake 3: Hyperfocused on the negative

The job search can be very discouraging. This is a fact for most people. The average response rate when cold appling is 4%. When you break that down you do 100 applications you might hear back from 4.

Hiring managers are busy; it might take weeks to hear back. Not exactly the more encouraging circumstances.

Add in the high volume of individuals also applying for new roles. Seeing 234 applications three days after a new post you might find yourself asking: “How can I stand out with so many other applicants.” “There must be someone else more qualified than me.” “I am never going to hear back about these positions”

Half of the battle is your mentality.

If you go into the process counting yourself out you have already lost the battle. Manifesting a new job, manifesting in general is a CONSTANT practice.

From the time you submit the application, to waiting for that first interview, to the offer letter you should keep a positive attitude. as if you have already claimed that job.

Working in positive affirmations is going to help shift that mentality to the right track! Gratitude should be a part of your daily routine.

Switch out those negative mantras you are telling yourself for “I am capable!” “I am worthy!” and “I am Lucky!” Because you are! You need to believe it about yourself!

Negative thoughts are inevitable. Here is a list of 27 positive career affirmations to add to your daily routine.

Mistake 4: You expect instant results

We live in a society where we thrive on instant gratification. Most things we want are right at our fingertips.

Yet have completely lost the practice of patience and persistence. When manifesting a new job you still have to do the work.

Writing your daily affirmations is KEY here. There are many amazing benefits to writing you affirmations learn more about it Here.

Manifesting takes time, practice and consistency. Finding a new job you will love will take time. Learn to trust the process and know that when you manifest a new job and achieve that goal it will be even more gratifying!

Mistake 5: Not connecting emotions to your desires

Connecting emotions to your desires is a very important part of manifesting. When thinking of your new job imagine all the positive outcomes that that new job will bring to you. How does that make you feel?

Claiming those positive emotions are the key to attracting the positive vibes. The universe is bound to react to it.

Explore those emotions and consider adding affirmations that align. For example: “I love the creative aspect of my job!” “I love how challenging and fulfilling my new role is!”

This might not be your current situation but that is how the law of attraction works! Claim those emotions in advance and the universe will reward you for it.

Takeaway

When manifesting a new job it's important to pause and self reflect. It’s very easy to fall into destructive behaviors. You may even find that your wants and desires change.

Changing your tactics is not a failure, but adapting. It will allow you to stay in alignment for your deepest desires and achieve the best results.

So remember when manifesting a new job: be clear about what you want but keep it realistic. Be patient, show gratitude and focus on the end goal.

Not only will you manifest a new job, a job of your wildest dreams. You will also develop a new skill set that will benefit your well-being.
