As we’ve learned from watching Sky Society videos like this one for tips on how to get more interviews, you need to showcase your interest in whatever position you apply to.

You should tailor your resume, LinkedIn, and follow up efforts toward the goal of proving you are the best fit for the role.  So, rather than applying everywhere, choosing a few great companies may be a better use of your time.

To help you get started, let’s look at fifteen of the best companies to work for in marketing.  The main three categories we focus on are large corporations, creative organizations, and marketing agencies.

 

Shoot for the Moon: Big Names, Big Gains

 

Here are some large companies with shiny awards and realistic reviews to support their rankings.  While these companies are not focused on marketing as their service, they have roles in the field and strong culture to support various career choices.

As seen in the image above, Microsoft won the Comparably Awards Best Global Company Culture in 2022.  Time and again, Microsoft ranks highly on lists of companies to work for, in marketing and other fields.  Of course, it’s important to take into account the pros and cons, but this big name should definitely be on your radar to research.

 

#2: IBM

IBM earned a second place in Comparably’s list, and it seems to be highly deserved.  Don’t take their word for it, however, check out thoughts from real life employees.

 

#3: Google

Amazon has a mixed reputation, but they can’t be ignored.  Several lists of employee rated companies include Amazon in the top 5 for culture, including Glassdoor and Forbes.
